A project of Project Architecture City (PAC) Singapore in which Kapil Amarnani was heavily involved as a core designer.
The proposed scheme aimed at the coexistence of the Multiplex and the villas by a “hillside” strategy. A new ground would extend the surface upwards towards the highway and would act as the land for the new villas. The uplift would contextually be in-keeping with the existing villas but yet be part of the multiplex – forming a commercial “cliff” face against the highway that guarantees maximum advertising visibility. These programs, organized into separate blocks, form cave-like open-air public spaces in between them – creating the spaces that allow for the interaction between the public and the private and between visitors and residents.
